OK, so what’s the big deal about spending more time looking at kayaks than the house we bought?

We can’t move into our house until July 11, so we are staying at an AIRBnb near the Vermont border. First adventure is at Long Pond.

Now, in some part of the country, “pond” is an awfully understated term for this body of water, but in the 603, this is named a pond. Like many 603 destination, you arrive following a narrow, paved road and then about 5 miles of gravel with a poorly marked landing location.

The pond features lots of islands.

I can still smell the air!

We only had two kayaks on this day, so Martin relinquishes his kayak to his mother.
